Samsung’s next generation of ultra-premium laptops has officially arrived in Brazil with the launch of Korea’s flagship Galaxy Book3 Ultra and its 2-in-1 sibling, the Galaxy Book3 360. Top-of-the-market MacBook Pro M2 16″ faces but significantly lower launch value – that doesn’t mean it’s cheap.
Both news come with hardware updates, including 13th generation Intel Core family processors, support for WiFi 6E networks, HDMI, USB-C Thuderbolt and USB-A connections, and an improved audio system with four speakers and doubled microphones. The machines run Windows 11 from the factory with visual modifications of the Samsung OneUI Book, which changes icons to provide a closer experience between the brand’s various devices, including tablets and smartphones.
The posts also echo the experience of integration with the Korean ecosystem, including, incidentally, the possibility to use the latest tablets from the Tab S family as a second wireless display for your laptop, and even control everything using the laptop’s trackpad and keyboard. Sharing features such as Quick Share and Private Share, easy pairing with Galaxy Buds series headphones, and other functions provided by the manufacturer’s product ecosystem are described and accessible in the Galaxy Book Experience app, which continues to come standard on machines.
Galaxy Book3 360
Samsung’s new 2-in-1 laptop model has arrived in Brazil and is available in two sizes, 13.3 or 15.6 inches; both feature touch-sensitive Super AMOLED Full HD displays (1920×1080 pixels) in 16:9 format, 60Hz refresh rate and S Pen. compatible – sold separately. The displays promise 120% of the color spectrum of the DCI-P3 standard, a 0.2ms response time, and an Eye Care system that provides protection against blue light.
They also come in thickness and weight with the smallest 1.29 cm and 1.16 kg and the largest 1.37 cm and 1.46 kg, focusing on the practicality of a thin and light design. Both devices feature high-quality aluminum construction and come with a 65W USB-C charger, which is also compatible with smartphones and tablets. The batteries have a reserve of 61 Wh in the smallest and 68 Wh in the largest.
The 13.3″ laptop comes with an Intel Core i5-1335U processor and SSD with 256GB or 512GB options for storage, while the 15.6″ Intel Core i7-1360P chip and 512GB or 512GB options. 1TB internal SSD space. Both offer integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics and 8 or 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM.
Galaxy Book3 Ultra
The most premium model in Samsung’s 2023 laptop lineup, it comes with a 16″ inch in 16:10 format, 2x Dynamic AMOLED panel, 3K resolution (2880×1800 pixels), variable refresh rate from 60 to 120 Hz, and the same features as its little brother Eye Care eye protection. and DCI-P3 shows 120% of color volume, only there is no touchscreen here and therefore no S Pen support.
The Book3 Ultra also comes with a high-quality metal cover and case in a matte graphite finish, only showing plastic at its base. Considering the internal settings too, the 76Wh battery provides only an average runtime, and this is partially compensated for by the 100W charger included in the box.
