In Russia, the Medium social journalism platform was blocked. Now the popular site for journalists and bloggers is inaccessible without a VPN.

RKN blocked social journalism platform Medium

According to the block verification service, the site is blocked by Roskomnadzor. The agency has yet to provide a reason for this decision. The service was created in 2012 by the founders of the social network Twitter Bis Stone and Evan Williams. Anyone can become an author on the platform. The service does not allow the integration of direct advertising.

Previously, the RKN restricted access to the Shutterstock photobank website. Later, the block was removed, since the resource removed information that the department called prohibited.
