Google Wallet will be able to turn QR codes into virtual cards

Google announced a new update for the Google Wallet app, or Google’s Wallet in Brazil, this Thursday (1). highlighted, users will be able to convert images into virtual cards for saving in the app.

According to big technology, It will be possible to scan barcodes and QR codes such as gym and loyalty club cards and store them in a digital wallet. The function also allows the registration of QR codes of e-commerce and parking tickets.

Google announced that it has developed new way to save tickets to virtual wallet. Passengers will soon be able to check-in with the Messaging app with RCS enabled and receive their boarding passes via SMS.

You can then save your ticket to Google Wallet and display it as you board the plane. According to the big technology, the functionality will be implemented by Vietnam Airlines and the Spanish railway company Renfe.
