It turned out that the iOS 17 update will not support several old smartphones of the brand at the same time. We’re talking about the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and the legendary iPhone X, the brand’s first phone with Face ID.
In contrast, the iPadOS 17 update also ends support for most devices released before 2018. At the same time, they all work successfully under iPadOS 16.
We’re talking about the fifth generation iPad and the first 12.9” and 9.7” iPad Pro models released in 2015 and 2016.
Note that earlier insiders reported that Apple will drop support for the iPhone X in iOS 17. Apparently, at the last moment, the apple company decided to change its mind on this matter.
