Apple warmly kicked off its WWDC 2023 presentation, and in addition to announcing new Macs for professional use, the company Introduced the M2 UltraA new chip described as “the fastest computer processor available”.

Until then, Apple was only using the M2 chip in laptops, but it’s bringing the M2 Ultra and M2 Max to the Mac Studio. In summary, the M2 Ultra appears to provide a 50% increase in performance by combining two M2 Max chips into a single chip. The SoC is equipped with 24 CPU cores and up to 96 cores when it comes to GPU. Combined RAM support increased from 96GB to an incredible 192GB.

Mac Studio update includes support for 8K displays, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, Thunderbolt 4 port, macOS Ventura operating system and 40% faster performance with Neural Engine.

A new Mac Pro was also announced during the conference. Apple’s desktop is integrated with the M2 Ultra chip and contains six open PCIe Gen 4 lanes and can stream 22 simultaneous streams in 8K. You can connect up to six Pro Display XDRs via eight Thunderbolt 4 inputs and two HDMI ports.

The suggested retail price of the Mac Pro starts at R$74,999, and the Mac Studio starts at R$22,999.
