All companies with representatives at the meeting signed the European Union’s voluntary law to combat disinformation. In this regard, Yurova pointed out that these companies need to develop technology to identify and flag content generated by neural networks “that will allow the casual, most careless user to immediately see that it was done by a robot”.

The officials also stated that the stated requirements will be tightly controlled, as AI can create realistic videos and footage of events that never happened.

“Chatbots like ChatGPT can create complex content and images in seconds; image generators can create realistic pictures of events that never happened; Yurova emphasized that new generation software can imitate the human voice based on a few seconds of sampling.
