Apple proposes to use the iPhone as a surveillance system for pets

Apple has proposed using the iPhone as a pet surveillance system. A 17-minute video explaining how this can be done, the company posted on its developer blog.

The company introduced the DockKit framework, with which you can configure the iPhone for video surveillance. The smartphone camera will detect pets and follow their movements. For the system to fully work, you need to install the iPhone on a motorized gimbal.

The framework will enable the development of apps to automatically track objects in surrounding space and control gimbal settings for framing, Apple said.
