After the company’s internal data was recently leaked, it was decided to make this information public. Under the leadership of Samsung Research, the project received significant investment in workforce and resources, with all available GPU resources in-house directed towards the development of this model.

The next big goal is reportedly to complete the first version of the language model within the next two months.

Samsung’s ChatGPT counterpart will focus on document summaries, software development and language translation.

Samsung believes that the implementation of AI solutions based on its upcoming technology can greatly simplify software development and semiconductor design processes.

Although the Koreans explored partnerships with well-known companies such as Google, Microsoft, Naver, and OpenAI, they still eventually decided to develop their own internal solutions.
