In 2023, the company is expected to use the 50-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GN2 sensor, a large 1/1.12-inch sensor.

Compared to the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, the main camera sensor will increase to 1/1.31 inches, and the pixel size will increase from 1.2 microns to 1.4 microns.

Regarding the ultra wide-angle camera, Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will be equipped with different modules. The Pixel 8 will have a 1/2.3-inch 12-megapixel module (Sony IMX386), while the Pixel 8 Pro will have a 1/1.7-inch 64-megapixel module.

In addition, the flagship model Pixel 8 Pro will be equipped with a 48-megapixel ISOCELL GM5 telecamera that allows 5x lossless zoom. The same sensor is used on the Pixel 7 Pro as well.

Also, the older model will receive an additional Melexis MLX90632 temperature sensor. Why? To measure the temperature of the human body. Leaks regarding this feature had leaked to the Web a few weeks ago.
