DuckDuckGo for Windows stands out for its same focus on protecting user privacy. The browser blocks trackers before they are downloaded, reducing data transfer costs by up to 60% compared to Google Chrome.
While the browser does not yet support extensions, it offers built-in features to block ads, manage passwords, and watch YouTube with minimal views and ads.
The browser also provides the user with the ability to enable and disable various types of protection for individual web pages.
DuckDuckGo noted that the Windows version of their app was developed entirely in-house, so it’s not a fork or add-on to other browsers.
