Chinese tech giant Alibaba has partnered with the popular NEAR blockchain, founded in 2017 by Alexander Skidanov and Ilya Polosukhin. In this context, the price of the branded NEAR token rose.
The NEAR Foundation, a non-profit organization behind the development of the NEAR blockchain ecosystem, has announced a partnership with Alibaba Cloud, the computing and storage arm of the Chinese tech giant. Together, the companies hope to accelerate the development of Web3 in Asia and the Middle East, CoinDesk reports.
The partnership will provide the NEAR Foundation with access to the Alibaba Cloud ecosystem in Asia and the Middle East, allowing more people to get involved in developing blockchain solutions. Developers who want to launch the new NEAR validators will be able to do so using Alibaba Cloud’s plug-and-play infrastructure.
A week earlier, Alibaba announced the hiring of a new chairman of the board, Joseph Tsai, known for numerous investments in Web3 projects. Against the background of the news, the price of NEAR increased by 8% and continues to rise.
