Polymarket is an online prediction platform that operates worldwide and allows users to bet on political events and other important events. In 2022, the company was forced to suspend its US operations due to non-compliance with the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission and was fined $1.4 million as a result.

The raid also coincided with an ongoing investigation by French regulators into Polymarket’s compliance with local gambling laws.

Polymarket denies accusations of market manipulation, saying it is committed to transparency.
