The hackers said they wanted to draw attention to the rights of minorities with their actions. As a result of the hack, they compromised the city’s information system and then published the data from there on the Web.

The stolen data included photos of potholes on the roads, e-mail correspondence between municipal employees and personal data of employees.

At the same time, Fort Worth officials said there was no evidence that residents’ and employees’ confidential information was made public.

Recall that earlier the SiegedSec group manifested itself in cyberspace by organizing data leaks from large companies, initiating protests and still protecting the rights of minorities.
