Rather than placing the AR helmet on the shelves of offline stores, the company will require buyers to make an appointment in advance to confirm the purchase. In addition, Apple will create separate areas where users can test the device before purchasing it.

Note that this strategy is not new to Apple. The company has taken a similar approach in the past when it launched the first Apple Watch in 2015.

Users can not only try the Apple Vision Pro in special areas of the stores, but also choose the appropriate strap size and other accessories.

This approach is expected to allow Apple to create a sense of exclusivity and meet the demands of customers who have invested a significant amount of money in an AR headset.

There may also be an opportunity for the company to offer additional accessories for visually impaired users, such as an expensive strap or prescription lenses.

Recall that the release of the Apple Vision Pro is scheduled for early 2024.
