Blockchain TON announced a new feature on its Twitter: now ecosystem users can attach encrypted messages to any transaction. The cost of the service is approximately $0.008.
On the official Twitter of the TON Foundation appeared announcement of a new feature that allows you to attach encrypted messages to any transaction. According to the developers, this will allow customizing the interaction with the blockchain.
Previously, it was already possible to add text to transactions on the TON blockchain, but such messages were visible to the entire Internet. Thanks to the new feature, the text is encrypted and only the Toncoin recipient can open it. One of the mentioned scenarios for using the technology is to clarify the purpose of a transaction. For example, a message “for coffee” or “happy birthday” can be attached to the transfer.
Anatoly Makosov, a developer on the TON team, also suggested using the feature as a backup communication method that will work even when popular messengers stop for some reason.
Adding encrypted text to a message will cost users around $0.008.
