Quantum computers use the unique properties of quantum states to vastly outperform classical computers. Google claims its 70-qubit Sycamore processor can perform calculations faster than any current computer, even a supercomputer.

The company used Random Circuit Sampling (RCS) in its experiments, which optimizes quantum correlation for efficient information dissemination. While this event brings Google closer to resolving the quantum dominance debate, the team acknowledges the need for more research and practical applications.

The study awaits review.
