Tech visionaries Yuri and Anna Melnichek announced the creation of a new fund Melnichek Investments. His investment company intends to invest in AI startups that have the potential to “change the world.”
As Startups magazine writes, the fund will focus on the first rounds of financing (pre-seed, seed and A) of high-tech IT startups in the field of computer vision and machine learning, since the founder of the company, Yuri Melnichek, is confident that AI has real potential to transform industries and improve people’s lives.
The source of financing for startups will be the owner’s own funds. The investment amount will depend on the potential of the startup and will range from $200,000 to several million.
In addition to financial support, the company will provide startups with consulting support: it will provide expert knowledge on business strategy, development, fundraising, etc.
“By providing both financial and strategic support, we can help start-ups achieve their goals and really change the world,” says Yury Melnychek.
Yury Melnichek, a Belarusian IT entrepreneur and venture capitalist, founder of Bulba Ventures, Maps.me and AImatter, who now lives in Zurich, has been involved in many innovative technology projects, including developing advanced software and hardware systems for major international corporations.
Anna Melnicek has many years of experience in deal structuring and operational management. She played one of the key roles in the organizational and administrative part of the Vochi-Pinterest deal on the Vochi side. Anna was also involved in the AImatter-Google deal.
The Melnichek Investments team believes that the world is on the brink of an era of ultra-small team superiority creating super-powerful AI-powered products, which, in turn, is changing business technology and capital market paradigms. risk as a whole.
Melnichek Investments has already made its first successful investments: in Gero Startup as a lead investor in an A round (the company works in the field of longevity research and the search for biomarkers that slow aging), in OneSoil, a startup of agritech, and Rainbow.ai (the app provides hyperlocal weather forecasts and notifies users of changes).
“We are incredibly proud to support these innovative startups and help them reach their full potential,” says Anna Melnicek. “We believe that artificial intelligence has the power to transform industries and improve people’s lives, and we are delighted to be part of this revolution.”
Melnichek Investments is actively seeking new investment opportunities.
