In the coming months, Sber intends to extend GigaChat to the interaction with all customers. As bank employees experiment with the neural network, Izvestia writes with reference to the first deputy chairman of the Sberbank board of directors, Alexander Vedyakhin.

Sber will introduce GigaChat to work with all customers

He said that while virtual assistants are more focused on facts and dry communication, they still find it difficult to understand emotions.

“But our answer to ChatGPT, which is called GigaChat, will also have such a large emotional module, thanks to which you can have a conversation and remember the previous conversation. Simply put, you will not forget what happened, you will understand the emotional state of a person, you will be able to tell a joke and, most importantly, perceive a person’s joke, ”he promised.

Sber launched its version of the multimodal neural network in April 2023. GigaChat can answer user questions, hold a dialogue, write program code, create texts and images based on descriptions within a single context. GigaChat’s architecture is based on the NeONKA model neural network suite, which includes several neural network models and the supervised fine-tuning method, reinforcement learning with human feedback.

  • Elon Musk also announced plans to create an alternative to ChatGPT to compete with Microsoft and Google. The billionaire believes that it is necessary to “create a third option” in order to compete with OpenAI, which is supported by Microsoft, and DeepMind, owned by Alphabet (Google’s parent company).
  • Earlier, the head of Sberbank, German Gref, warned about the risk of creating a closed club of the world’s greatest powers in the field of artificial intelligence, similar to the nuclear club, and “urged them to do everything possible to be members of it”. club.”
