Sberbank has started negotiations with banks to connect to the Pay QR service

Tinkoff joined the service in July 2023. A QR code can be in the form of a sticker on a sales counter, or it can be displayed on the screen of a POS terminal. Now there are already more than 1.4 million terminals of this type throughout the country.

If Sberbank increases the number of partners, the service “will be able to compete with the fast payment system of the Central Bank.” However, according to the publication’s interlocutors, some companies have already refused for fear of the Central Bank’s reaction and secondary sanctions.

  • The fastest payment system (FPS) is most actively used by retailers, catering and beauty salons. Tochka experts believe that it is beneficial for various industries to completely switch to SBP work – these are co-working spaces, dance studios, beauty services, various schools and online courses.
