Microsoft is offering to opt out of Xbox Live Gold subscriptions starting September 1st.

Most likely, you will need a new Game Pass Core plan with the same gold price tags of $9.99 per month and $59.99 per year. Existing Xbox Live Gold subscribers will be automatically upgraded to Core.

The company will not be giving away free games for this subscription. Instead, a catalog of 25 select games will be released. Among them: Among Us, Descenders, Dishonored 2, DOOM Eternal, Fable Anniversary, Fallout 4, Fallout 76, Forza Horizon 4, Gears 5, Grounded, Halo 5: Guardians, Halo Wars 2, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, Human Fall Flat, Inside, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Psychonauts 2, State of Decay 2 and Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited.
