The largest iPhone factory on the planet returns to full production capacity

The iPhone factory in Zhengzhou is already operating at 90% of its capacity!

Waiting time for iPhone 14 decreased after returning to normal at Zhengzhou factory

The worst-case scenario came at the worst time for Apple, at the height of the holiday season, when riots engulfed the largest iPhone factory and affected iPhone 14 supply. Zhengzhou is ready to operate normally and honor its commitments.**

With 200,000 workers in full production, Zhengzhou operates at 90% capacity, according to a shared Bloomberg report, and is expected to be at full capacity shortly. But just a few days before the resumption of operations, the supply of “iPhone 14 Pro” began to increase.

iPhone 14 production is normalizing

Undoubtedly, the recovery in activity after weeks of a tense situation created by the increase in the COVID-19 outbreaks in the country bodes well for Apple. Added to this was the reaction of thousands of factory workers who fled or protested against the extreme restrictions that increased contamination at the facilities.

Foxconn lifted most of these restrictions last month and increased incentives for all employees to minimize losses from previous weeks.

In recent years, Apple managed to solve problems produced in factories in ChinaBut these events only raised concerns about Apple’s dependence on factories in that country.

While not a new plan, it is now a story that Cupertino is trying to accelerate its expansion plans outside of China in assembling its products. According to a report shared by The Wall Street Journal, the possibility of expanding to countries where they already have a presence in terms of production bases is being investigated. India and Vietnam are two of the countries that are more powerful in concentrating new bases if the main headquarters country is left.

For now, it remains only to hope that they will be able to respond to the demand from Zhengzhou for the iPhone 14 and 14 Pro, which, unlike the entry models, were successful in sales and caused Apple to break some revenue records again.
