If you store some important or confidential information in standard iOS notes, it would be useful to install additional protection. So data from protected records cannot be viewed by someone if an unlocked iPhone is found in their hands.

You can block both with a password that will be different from the iOS unlock code, or with the help of Face ID to instantly get into secure notes yourself.

📌 Thank you restore for useful information. 👌

Like notes with a passcode or Face ID

1. Go to Settings – Notes – Password.

2. Select the account for which various security notes will be generated. These can be local notes on the iPhone, or entries that are migrated via iCloud to other Apple devices.

3. The first time you assign this item, a selection for the note will appear. The data is protected by an iPhone lock code or has its own passcode.

In the first case, the code will be unlocked, and in the second case, a new lock code and a hint for it will come up.

4. When everything is set up, check that the option Face ID/Touch ID was active.

5. Now to protect the note, activate it Protect a menu of additional actions while working with a note.

When opening such notes, you need to log in via Face ID/Touch ID or enter the unlock code/set password.
