Sales of both new and used devices increased in the second quarter. Russians purchased them 18% more often than last year. At the same time, sales of new smartphones grew by 76%, and used only by 10%.

New smartphones have fallen in price on Avito by 4% per year, their average price is 35,900 rubles, and used – 16,600 rubles. Total iPhone sales for the year grew by 23%, while Samsung remained at the same level.

Xiaomi’s total sales are up 17% year-on-year, and the Chinese brand holds second place in new device sales this second quarter. The new iPhone on Avito can be purchased for an average of 47,700 rubles, Samsung for 37,900 rubles, and Xiaomi will cost 21,000 rubles.

The smartphone market in Russia is at the stage of transformation. Last year, due to a shortage of goods, some disappeared brands and grown-up customers in ordinary retail stores began to look for gadgets on Avito more often. Also, new sellers came to the site.

The presence of Chinese brands was especially strong: the offer of new Xiaomi smartphones grew by 37%, and realme – by 2.5 times. Another trend is the growth in the share of new smartphones. Apple took the first place in terms of the number of smartphones sold on Avito – 57% of all purchased devices fell on the iPhone. Sales of new iPhones on the platform grew by 81% in a year.

The second place was taken by Xiaomi with a share of 14%. Sales of new devices from the Chinese brand grew by 36%, while sales of used gadgets grew by 12%.

The top three was closed by Samsung with a share in sales of 11%. Over the year, sales of new gadgets grew by 65%, and the average bill for the purchase of a new smartphone increased by 37,900 rubles.
