The main advantage of the new trap is that it does not require constant manual maintenance. Thanks to the magnetic system, the structure can be quickly connected to the drone, which will deliver the device to the desired point and then send it back for analysis.
The body of the trap is made of two plastic hemispheres coated with a sticky composition and an attractant that attracts insects. It contains a module with LEDs that create ultraviolet radiation. This combination of light and scent allows you to collect more pests than traditional methods.
The development is aimed at drones that can lift a payload weighing approximately 200-300 grams.
