Google Meet will soon have AI-generated backgrounds. Big tech is testing the feature that lets you create a background via a text instruction.

The tool is integrated with Google Workspace Labs. Thus, some users who are part of the tests can already use it. Therefore, the feature is not yet generally available.

To create an AI background in Google Meet, simply access the Apply Visual Effects area. Then select the Create background option. The app will still open the space to type the prompt with style options to choose from.

The news comes a few months after Google tried the tool with technology on Android during I/O in May. Meet also received emoji reactions, 1080p streaming support, and video tile matching in 2023.
