Sber will open an IT division in Bangalore, India. The company will install its Data Processing Center (CPD) in the new office, informed the press service of the credit institution.
The first branch of Sberbank opened in India in 2010, the bank recalls. The office in the capital, New Delhi, offers a wide range of services, and the new division will focus on information technology development.
According to Anatoly Popov, vice chairman of Sberbank’s board, the organization is already implementing an IT project in Bangalore. In the future, it is planned to employ up to 200 IT specialists in the new center.
