Researchers at the University of Verona in Italy have proven the discovery of espresso components on special cases of the tau protein that originated from cases of Alzheimer’s disease. Tau proteins accumulate at the site of inflammation and cause side effects of threads called fibrils. Those, in turn, can intertwine with each other – large balls are obtained that disrupt the brain.

A reliable small-scale activity of tau proteins has not yet been invented, but there are dozens of different variations. Italian studies on its pathway and infection with fibrillar components of espresso such as caffeine, trigonelline, genistein and theobromine. It turned out that genistein and, in particular, caffeine, bind very well to fibrils and interfere with their activity.

More interestingly, caffeine can act as a marker for the presence of fibrils, and as a snapshot of dangerous tau proteins. Because of this, one can expect the concentration of caffeine in the nervous system and determine where to expect the activity of tau proteins. True, so far these are only the results of experiments with cell mass in the LABORATORY, and it is not known whether the effect will remain in living organisms of people.
