The owner of X Corp, of which Twitter became a part after the deal, Elon Musk wrote in his account that after the rebrand, the social network will lose its main symbol – the blue bird, which refers to the name of the service (“tweet” – “tweet, twitter”). The billionaire admitted that he likes the bird, “but X is better.”
On his favorite social network, Musk made several posts at once. first he informedthat “soon we will say goodbye to the Twitter logo and, little by little, to all the birds”.
He then posted the old bird logo with the note “I like this, but X is better.” And then he posted a three-second video replacing the old logo with the declared X (figuratively speaking, kill the bird).
Musk added: “If anyone comes up with a good X logo tonight, we’ll start using it everywhere tomorrow.”
After that, it rained down “photo toads” with possible logos in the comments of the post, as well as AI-generated images in which users tried to combine the bird and the X.
Musk initially said that under the X logo he would launch a super app analogous to Chinese WeChat. The billionaire’s commitment to this letter can be seen in plans to create an AI product development company: xAI.
