The international taxi service inDrive, which was founded in Yakutsk by Arsen Tomsky, has entered the US market. It was released in South Florida.

The inDrive taxi service entered the US market

“We are very excited to introduce the inDrive ridesharing solution to the US. We chose South Florida because the market is actively looking for better transportation alternatives,” said Adam Warner, US Area Manager.

According to him, the service offers users a peer-to-peer model, thanks to which drivers can only accept orders and fares that they choose. And customers, in turn, receive the best deal for the cost of the trip.

In the launch stage, from July 2023 to January 2024, the service will not charge commission to taxi drivers. Thus, initially they will receive 100% of the cost of each trip (including tolls).

In April, due to sanctions risks, inDrive transferred a Russian legal entity to a Kazakhstan structure. In May, it became known that the service would stop working in Russia. The company team has released a new app called Drivee. A little later in the same month, the service completed an agreement to acquire technologies from the Master Delivery logistics platform.
