ASRock Industrial has renewed its AMD-based 4X4 Box mini computer series with Zen 3 chips. In the new models, users can choose from the Ryzen 5300U (4c/8t), 5400U (4c/8t), 5600U (6c/12t) and 5800U (8c/16c) and other features are the same. This compact barebones measures 110 x 117.5 x 47.9 millimeters and has a net weight of 1 kg.

Up to 64GB DDR4 sodimms (up to 3,200 MT/s) assist the selected APU. Storage is provided by an M.2 slot for SSDs up to 2280 format, while the SATA port is suitable for 2.5 inch SSD or HDD. There is also an additional m.2 slot (Switch E) for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.

It has a single USB 3.2 Gen 2 type-a port and a headphone jack on the front, followed by two USB 3.2 Gen 2 type-c connectors with displayport 1.2a support. The two type-a ports on the back are all about USB 2.0 speeds, there’s also once HDMI 2.0a and display port 1.2a. Wired internet is provided by a gigabit port and another 2.5GbE cloud server.

Finally, there is rpm 2.0 on board for compatibility with Windows 11, it should be easy to attach the device to the back of a monitor thanks to the vesa mounting points.
