On August 13, the station conducted two measurement sessions at a distance of approximately 310,000 km from Earth. All scientific instruments on board confirmed their performance.

Particular attention was drawn to the first images taken from space by the STS-L onboard television cameras. The photos show elements of the Luna-25 structure against the background of the Earth and Moon. One of the shots also shows the mission emblem and built-in arm scoop.

During the sessions, the background radiation generated by galactic cosmic rays was measured. This information is important for future astronauts’ missions to the Moon.

Currently, the domestic spacecraft continues its flight to the Earth’s natural satellite. All systems are working normally, communication with the station is stable.
