Amazon launches today (16) in Brazil The third generation of the Echo Show 5, which promises to be the fastest entry model in the line until now. Equipped with an AZ2 Neural Edge processor, the device has faster responses, in addition to a redesigned microphone set that delivers clearer vocals and 2x stronger bass, according to the company.
As well as superior sound quality from other devices on the line, The new Echo Show 5 also gets an additional microphone – now, there are three in total in the body of the device – and a more compact design with a 5.5-inch display and a resolution of 960 x 480 pixels.
With the display, you can, for example, view shopping lists, make video calls and check pictures about the weather forecast. The integrated 2MP camera also allows the user to follow what’s going on at home live, albeit remotely, via the Alexa app on the smartphone.
Like other models in the series, the Echo Show 5 (3rd generation) connects to other smart devices such as light bulbs, switches, locks and smart sockets.
Five models of the Echo Show series are currently available in Brazil: Echo Show 5, Echo Show 8, Echo Show 10 and Echo Show 15 (number corresponds to screen size). According to Jacques Benain, general manager of Amazon Devices in Brazil, the aim of the launch is to offer customers a wider range of options for devices with displays.
“We are excited to announce the next generation Echo Show 5, the most compact display device in the Echo family, with even better sound quality and faster speeds,” he said.
