According to MegaFon, in the first 6 months of 2023, mobile traffic in online cinemas grew by 16%, and the number of users of such services grew by 13%.

Going forward from last year, the average user session length on mobile increased by 4% to 35 minutes. At the same time, there are on average 2.4 video services per user of online cinemas, against 2.2 in the first half of 2022.

That is, they began to watch movies more often on more services, preferring to switch between platforms rather than watching movies in one place. The share of subscribers with 2-4 video services is paid 48%.

Little statistic:

🔻 The peak of activity falls on the January and May holidays, and the decline occurs in the second half of April

🔻 The share of users in the age category of 25-35 years old has grown from 43% to 50% over the year, over 35 years old people began to watch reductions in online cinemas, and at the age of 17 to 25 years old, the percentage has not changed

The growth in the number of users of online cinemas is associated, among other things, with the presence of gadgets: the share of sales of smartphones with the largest screen diagonal and its resolution is growing from year to year, as is their range. The most interesting smartphones with a diagonal of 6.7″-6.9″ in 2023 were Honor X8, Huawei Nova Y70, Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro, TECNO Camon 19, Tecno Pova3, Tecno Pova2.
