As of September 1, Russian Post will begin to require the sender to provide a document confirming their identity before accepting shipments. This was reported on the Russian Post website.
Changes in the work of the mail refer to registered letters, packages and parcels. To confirm your identity, you can present a passport or, for example, a driver’s license.
Also, identification without presenting a document can be done in the Russian Post application by connecting a simple electronic signature.
The identification requirements are due to the order of the Ministry of Digital Development of April 17. The document requires the sender of the parcels to be identified documented or through a single system.
