The system will allow you to control the treatment, find the foci of the disease and dynamically explore the body’s biological processes. The bioimaging tissue is marked with fluorescent dyes and illuminated with a laser.

“Currently, non-surgical methods based on the action of various physical principles to study living tissues and organisms are of great interest in biotechnology. One of the promising areas in this field is multicolor two-photon fluorescent bioimaging, which allows radiation pulses to penetrate biological tissue to a depth of several centimeters, ”said the head of the department of laser physics and technology project manager aif.ru from Kazan State Technical University. Degtyarev Sergey Solokhin.

To date, several laser emitters have been used to implement this commercially unprofitable procedure. Therefore, KSTA proposed the concept of creating an integrated, multifunctional installation based on a single laser emitter.

The project received a positive peer review, after which the Russian Science Foundation awarded a grant to support the research work.
