Wake up every morning to your favorite Spotify song.

Nobody likes to get up early. And even less if it wakes you up unpleasant alarm sound. But this can be fixed. You’ll still have to get up early, but at least you’ll wake up with the music you like most to make it more bearable. And what’s better than Spotify as an alarm clock with that song that lifts your mood or activates you in a matter of seconds.

By default Spotify doesn’t have alarm clock to wake you up. At least within the application itself. However, you can ask it to turn off if you fall asleep while listening to music. This way you won’t drain your phone’s battery. And this will also serve as a warning to go to bed at a decent hour. But this is the opposite of what we want to do now. Our goal is to wake up with Spotify music as our alarm clock.

To make things easier, there are apps that specialize in this feature. Available for iPhone and Android, they will allow you turn Spotify into an alarm clock it will make you wake up in the morning with a different face. A way to make waking up early every day more bearable. You choose a song to play depending on your mood or the push you need.

Morning Alarm Clock for Spotify (iPhone)

The easiest way use Spotify as an alarm clock on your iPhone uses an app like Morning. Or by the full name Morning Alarm for Spotify. It is exclusive to iOS, so you can install it on iPhone and iPad. Although it has paid features, for free you can integrate Spotify songs as alarm clock. And in principle it works free accounts from Spotify.

To set an alarm, all you have to do is tell it what time you need to wake up and then select your music service. In this case, Spotify, although it also works with Apple Music. Then select the song you want to play at the exact time on your albums and playlists favorites. Like any self-respecting alarm system, it has snooze button to prolong sleep a little more. Although you can also let them soundand song and/or turn off the alarm clock directly.

IFTTT + Spotify (iPhone + Android)

Another way to wake up using Spotify as an alarm: through automation. Your iPhone comes with a default automation tool called Shortcuts. It makes sense that it gets along well with Apple Music, but not so much with Spotify. To the point that there are no shortcuts for this application. And although there are users who have created shortcuts for using Spotify as an alarm clockthey have disappeared, so they are inaccessible.

Alternatively, we can use IFTTT, an automation tool that you can use online and install as application on your iPhone. And also on Android. After installation, in the application itself you will find automation related to Spotify. The one we are interested in is called Play a Spotify song when the clock strikes a certain hour.. As the name suggests, it will play Spotify music as an alarm at the time you tell it to. The only drawback is that you need Spotify Premium work.

Google Clock (Android)

If you have an Android phone, since 2018 Spotify has been integrated into Google Clock, which is installed by default on the operating system. So, if you wake up every morning with an alarm on this watch, you can add songs from Spotify to give joy to your awakening. The process is relatively simple and works for both Spotify and YouTube Music. Additionally, it works with free accounts from Spotify, so you don’t need a Premium subscription.

1. Open the application Watch on your Android device
2. Go to section Anxiety
3. Create a new alarm and specify the time and days on which it will be activated.
4. Now click on Predetermined to set the sound
5. IN alert Press Spotify
6. If the application is not installed, it will help you do this.
7. It will ask you to log in. Press Login for this
8. Follow the instructions to link your Spotify account to Google Watch.
9. Once connected, you will see your favorite podcasts and songs.
10. Clicking on the icon Search you can find the song you need
11. Once you’ve selected and checked, you now have Spotify as your alarm clock.
12. You can use a song, album, podcast or playlist.
