Intended for “creative” people such as 3D designers and graphic artists, the monitor projects a different image into each eye, creating a 3D effect. The resolution of the 3D monitor is 1920×2160, but the lens can be switched to a normal 2D image with a resolution of 3840×2160.

Lenovo’s technology differs from competitors such as Dimenco’s Simulated Reality platform, but specific differences are not disclosed.

3D requires a Windows 10 or higher PC with modest requirements (Intel Core i5-7400, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050, 16GB DDR5 RAM).

Lenovo plans to launch the monitor in January 2024 for $2,999.
