Back in iOS 15, it became possible to connect code generators directly to the iPhone without having to download Google Authenticator and similar applications.

Two-factor authentication helps secure your account. If someone tries to log into your profile remotely, they won’t be able to do so without physical access to the device through verification.

This is useful when you do not want to connect to other companies, plus the iPhone is always at hand.

Turn on the built-in code generator in iOS

1. Open the service where you want to connect code generation
2. Start the connection in its privacy element.
3. Open Settings on iPhone
4. Go to Passwords and go there from point 1.
5. If it is not there, manually enter your login and password in the Keychain Access (button +)
6. Select an item Install Code Verification…
7. Further QR code scanning or Setting switch input.
8. After connecting, enter the generated password in the service.

Scanning a QR code if authentication is configured on the computer.

You will need to enter the setup key if the service does not issue a QR code to it.

Also, sometimes, when authentication is connected directly on the iPhone, the service automatically transfers you to the iOS settings and connects everything itself.

To find the temporary code, go to your account in Passwords through Settings on your iPhone and copy it. Now you can not protect yourself from external services.

To remove authentication, first disable it in the service you added. And only then click the “Remove password” button on the way Settings > Passwords > Selected service > Edit.
