The French group GeoPost is negotiating the sale of its Russian delivery service DPD with Delovye Linii and PEK. The company has well-established logistics facilities for the delivery of goods throughout Russia, Kommersant reported.
DPD delivery works in 35 thousand settlements of Russia and the EAEU, as well as in 200 countries of the world. DPD Rus’ revenue in 2022 decreased by 24.2% to 14.88 billion rubles, net profit – by 91.4% to 99 million rubles.
The deal could be complicated by GeoPost’s possible involvement in the bankruptcy case of collection point operator PickPoint, one of whose shareholders is a French company, lawyers warned.
- The PickPoint parcel delivery service decided in April to stop operating in Russia. The decision is due to the financial difficulties of the business. The debt of the PickPoint ATM network, which went bankrupt, exceeded 2.6 billion rubles. Since the beginning of 2023, 444 claims have been filed against the company in the amount of 821.3 million rubles.
