This innovative move is being taken to combat the increasing rate of truancy among youth suffering from social anxiety.
Such androids will act as virtual representatives of students, allowing them to participate in the learning process remotely. Robots are equipped with everything necessary for feedback: microphones, speakers and cameras.
Thanks to the tablets integrated into the robots’ “chests”, children will be able to actively participate in discussions and interact with their teachers and classmates.
The project is scheduled to launch in November 2023, and first results are expected in March 2024. The 2023 budget already includes the costs of this project and amounts to approximately 10.55 thousand dollars.
It was reported that the main purpose of the project was to reduce the level of anxiety among school children who plan to return to full-time education after the pandemic period.
And this approach can become a breakthrough by adapting the education system to modern social challenges.
