VEB.RF will sell a stake in Natsproektstroy (NSP) to the main construction contractor of Russian Railways, the 1520 group. This was reported to RBC by the first vice-president of the state corporation, Nikolai Tsekhomsky, and confirmed by the general director of 1520, Alexey Krapivin.

VEB to sell stake in joint venture with Arkady Rotenberg

The group will receive 48% of one of the largest infrastructure holding companies; another 4% of the company belongs to Krapivin himself.

The sale operation is expected to conclude at the end of the year; the FAS has already approved its execution.

Under the terms of the agreement, Krapivin will become the owner of 52% of NPS shares and another 48% will remain controlled by the structures of Arkady Rotenberg. A representative for the latter confirmed plans for the deal, but neither party revealed the amount of it.

“For VEB this is a profitable and balanced exit,” explained Tsekhomsky.
At the end of 2022 it was reported that “1520” will increase its participation in the joint venture between VEB and Rotenberg.

The Natproektstroy group was created in 2019 on the basis of the assets of Mostotrest and TEK Mosenergo, as well as 1520.
Earlier this summer, VEB head Igor Shuvalov announced plans to sell a stake in NPS. He noted that VEB will focus on the “development function.”

Natsproektstroy has contracts for the construction of the eighth stage of the M-12 Moscow-Kazan highway, 66 km long and worth 123.2 billion rubles, as well as the right to conclude an investment agreement for the execution of the main part of the Aksay bypass. in the Rostov region for almost 86 billion rubles.
