Huawei Mate X5 will be available in two versions: standard and collector’s edition. The cost of the standard version with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage will be approximately $ 1,785. The price of the 12/512 GB version will be 1925 dollars, and the price of the 16/512 GB model will be 2060 dollars.

Additionally, customers can also opt for the $135 Huawei Care+ plan, which offers low-cost replacement in case internal and external displays are damaged.

The smartphone will be available in five color options including Feather White, Feather Black, Feather Gold, Green Mountain Dai and Phantom Purple.

Considering the high prices, Huawei is clearly targeting the premium segment of the market. The question still remains whether the new product will be able to compete with other flagship models such as the Samsung Galaxy Fold and iPhone Fold if it appears.
