iOS 17 will be released on Monday (18) and many features of the new system are already known, but Apple still revealed some tricks during the iPhone 15 launch event.
New features include: ringtones, a new background blur effect, and a major update to the Home app. See details below.
New blur effect
At the presentation of iOS 15, Apple demonstrated the ability to apply a blur effect to any element of a previously taken photo. It looks like the function will not be exclusive to the iPhone 15.
This feature is available in iOS 17 and should be compatible with more models, including the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14.
new ringtones
Apple added more than 20 new ringtones to iOS 17. New alerts are available for calls, messages, alarms and more.
Home app update
The iOS 17 Home app introduces the Grid Forecast feature, a type of energy monitor that shows when your electrical grid has a “cleaner” supply. The function is available on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch.
iOS 17 is coming soon
iOS 17 will be released for all users next Monday (18). In addition to this latest news, the update also introduces Standby Mode, close contact transfer tool, and some other features.
