Curator of Windows 11 and Surface device development left Microsoft

Panos Panay, vice president, head of the development department of the Surface line of devices and curator of the creation of the Windows 11 operating system, has resigned from Microsoft. He announced it on his social media page X. The Verge wrote about this previously.

Panay’s responsibilities will be distributed among several senior managers. In particular, former Yandex CTO and now VP of Technology Mikhail Parakhin will lead the Windows and Web Experiences Team department.

Panay began his career at Microsoft in 2004 as a program manager. In 2018, Panay led the product department and then led the development of Windows 11.
