The cost of repairing this part of the smartphone has decreased significantly compared to last year’s models. Now the cost of replacing broken glass on the iPhone 15 Pro is only $169, compared to $199 for the Pro Max.
That’s $350 cheaper than before: the company charged $499 and $549 for the repair of the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max, respectively.
The cost reduction is likely due to major design changes in new models. Now the glass on the back cover can be removed and replaced separately from the rest of the phone, simplifying the repair process.
Previously, the glass was tightly integrated into the body of the device, making it extremely difficult to repair.
Note that the repair will only cost $29 for those who pay into Apple’s insurance plan.
