Samsung launched new NVMe SSDs and memory cards in early September. The memory devices, unprecedented in Brazil, promise to offer a variety of storage options with high data transmission speeds.

Samsung’s new SSDs are primarily targeted at content creators, gamers, photographers and filmmakers. Check the details in the lines below.

NVMe 980 and SATA SSDs

First on the list is Samsung’s NVMe 980 SSD. The component is manufactured for computers (laptops and desktops) equipped with an M.2 connector. 500GB and 1TB versions will be available. According to the company, the hardware guarantees up to 3,500 MB/s in sequential read operations and 3,000 MB/s in write.

The South Korean manufacturer also introduced the SSD 870 EVO SATA III and SSD 870 QVO SATA III for laptops and desktops; in this case with the SATA bus.

While SSD 870 EVO SATA III is sold with 250 GB and 500 GB options, SSD 870 QVO SATA III is offered with 1 TB, 2 TB or 4 TB options. The duo has a sequential read capacity of up to 560 MB/s.

external storage

PSSD T7 Titan and PSSD T7 Shield models are also among the launches in the country. External SSDs serve as high-capacity portable device options. T7 Titan is offered in 500 GB and 1 TB, while T7 Shield is offered in 1 TB, 2 TB and 4 TB options. The highlight of the T7 Shield is its IP65 rating, which guarantees resistance to water and dust.

Samsung's external SSDs promise high capacity in a compact size.
