The goal is to create predictive models of healthy and diseased cells that will help researchers gain insight into complex cellular structures and processes.
Given the volume of data generated by cell research, CZI believes AI can play a critical role in sifting through and extracting information beyond human capabilities. Such AI models can predict immune cell responses, understand rare diseases at the cellular level, and even predict how a patient’s body will respond to drugs.
The project aims to create publicly available human cell models that will reach underfunded researchers.
