Unlike the iPhone introduced a year ago, the HTC Dream featured a 3.2-inch touchscreen that could be pulled out to reveal the full QWERTY keyboard. Inside was a Qualcomm MSM7201A processor with Adreno 130 GPU, 192 MB RAM and 256 MB expandable internal storage. The phone was equipped with a removable 1150mAh battery, which is not common in modern smartphones.
The launch of this revolutionary device took place at a press conference in New York, where Google, T-Mobile and HTC jointly introduced Android to the world.
Today, Android has become the dominant operating system for mobile devices, powering a large number of smartphones around the world.
