Meta* (approx. recognized as extremist and banned in Russia) held a Connect presentation, during which she spoke in detail about the Quest 3 VR helmet.
The new product is equipped with LCD displays with a resolution of 2064×2209 for each eye. The second-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 chip is responsible for performance, as well as 8 GB of RAM (Quest 2 had 6 GB of RAM).
The helmet has improved cameras that enable mixed reality operation.
Quest 3 weighs a whopping 515g, which is 12g more than the previous generation. The body of the device is 40% thinner, making it more comfortable to use for a long time.
The gadget operates for 2.4 hours on battery power. Charges from an 18 W power adapter within 2 hours.
Meta* Quest 3 will go on sale on October 10th. There will be two versions with 128 GB and 512 GB memory, costing $499 and $649 respectively. You can already pre-order. [IGN]
