One notable change is the return of the physical side button that was missing in recent models.

Despite the superficial similarity to its predecessor, the return of the side button has been positively received by Fitbit fans. However, it is worth noting that, unlike traditional mechanical buttons, they are now tactile and give feedback when pressed.

Most of the updates are software-related and aim to improve the accuracy of fitness tracking. Charge 6 can also pair with certain exercise equipment via Bluetooth.

The device now features Google Maps and Google Wallet integration, as well as the ability to control YouTube Music from the wrist.

The Fitbit Charge 6 is available for pre-order now and is expected to ship on October 12 in a variety of color options.
